Re: CardGameGeek - MECCG DB/Deckbuilding

I don't really have anything to offer in return, but feel free to link to any of the MECCG videos on my YouTube channel if you want content for your site. For now, I think it's mostly (if not entirely) booster openings, but I am working on a series of video tutorials that should go up over the next ...

ccg collector said: i get the feeling that AtS, at least, is on the rise. As far as I know, it's impossible to find the two rarest R1s (Farmer Maggot, Ithil-Stone) unless you know someone personally, or it comes as part of a complete set, so this is all that's left. As I said earlier in the thread,...

Re: Meccg products value (Full sets, c/u/f sets)

It appears that recently perhaps sets of Balrog and Against the Shadow are on the rise. However, I would say there is not enough data yet to determine if this is a sustained rise or just a momentary variance. Time will tell. I get the feeling that AtS, at least, is on the rise. As far as I know, it...

That's actually really helpful, thanks. I appreciate the offer to sell, but now that I know what it is, I think I'm going to pass on this one.

Re: Meccg products value (Full sets, c/u/f sets)

Yeah. I paid the $80. I haven't seen the full map set online in a while and needed it to help complete my collection. I think I over paid a little, but again, haven't seen this online in a long time. Heck, the only reason I didn't outbid you was because I was at a show and intermission finished up ...

Re: Meccg products value (Full sets, c/u/f sets)

One thing that was rather enlightening for me was this listing for Middle-Earth CCG Maps . It went for 80 bucks, and I had always thought of it as some rare, Holy Grail of MECCG type thing - but the pictures make it look like it's just a box for the paper maps that you can get anywhere. Does anyone ...

Wyvern CCG

I've begun collecting an old CCG released around the same time as MECCG, called Wyvern. However, given that it's so old and went largely under the radar, even at the time, it's tricky finding product to fill the gaps in my collection. Is anyone familiar with the game, and does anyone have any leads ...

Re: Card art variations / cards with different art

Although I don't have more alternates to offer, I do have a question: do any of the hardcore collectors out there know the relative rarity of the "Hobbit Fellowship" w zoomed in art? (i.e. Is it around 1 in 10 Fellowships vs 1 in 100 etc) ... (and also, is there an official community name for this ...

Re: Meccg products value (Full sets, c/u/f sets)

Well, if this eBay listing is any indicator, it seems a full R1 set would go for about $450. That's assuming rarer ones like Farmer Maggot and The Ithil-Stone aren't worth even more, of course - if you can even find them.

Re: Shapeshifter's Haves and Wants

Several of the German MEAS R1 cards are available on eBay right now from a German seller, if you just want the cards and don't mind paying for them. Sauron from METB was there recently as well, but unfortunately someone snatched it up two months ago.

Re: How much are the Player's Guides / Companions worth?

I don't think I paid more than $50 for any of them, besides perhaps A Long-Expected Party (The Wizard's Companion and Casual Companion were each $20 in 2015). And even with that last one, there's a Buy It Now listing on eBay for a sealed copy that's only 65 dollars. EDIT: Only The Wizards and The Li...

I have been working on the layout of this document, to make it more comfortable to read. And since the author of this document has wanted to share his work with everyone, I share it now here with his permission. This is not a new version of the rulesbook, only the visual aspect has been updated. Th...

Re: Balrog Fixed Packs - Grey Bordered

The sealed gray bordered packs do include a few black border cards. I forget which ones. I think maybe some of the singleton black border sites, maybe a few others as well. Those sealed packs aren't pure gray border, at least both of them aren't. There was at least 2 black border Twilight that I ca...

Re: Decks for Casual Play

A deck consists of at least 30 ressources and 30 hazards. In tournaments you may include 3 wizards in your deck, this is also adopted to casual play by most players. It's only in the tournament rules that you're required to have 30 resources and hazards, right? I thought the minimum was 25 of each ...
