Re: Unique Short Events

I fail to see how Many Sorrows falls into this category? Can someone explain? I mean I know it's unique, but it doesn't get removed (or DIE, analogy)... It follows directly from the CRF response quoted at the top, "No. News of Doom in unique. Only one copy can be played during a game." No reference...

Re: Unique Short Events

Seems like this would dramatically affect play of Many Sorrows Befall, as well.

Re: Printer Studio

It's just a risky/bad idea in general, I think. I agree, if you keep them under lock and key and never let them mix in with your other cards, then no real harm can come from you using them for solitaire learning purposes or placeholders in decks before you replace them prior to games. However, shou...

Re: Printer Studio

I would recommend putting a semi-transparent "PROXY" or similar watermark over part of the art image, possibly in the lower corner or something, when printing such cards, to help mitigate the risk that Thorsten points out.

Thanks, I've got multiple people who want them - and I have multiple sets so mostly want ideas for prices.
Ah, well, that's a different story, then!

For AtS I'd say you could reasonably expect $10-15 for the common set, and $25-35 for the uncommon set. You might have to list them for a while on Ebay, though, to get those prices -- I wouldn't expect them to necessarily auction for that much.

Re: Balrog decks?

For precisely that reason, I ordered myself an entire Balrog play set of proxy cards that work very nice for playing with (when sleeved). Cost me about $65, if I recall rightly.

I can't seem to think of any other card (outside of Balrog-specific resources) that would be affected by that ruling for non-Balrog players.
Nameless Thing (with Doors of Night in play) would be a big one.

Well, that could explain why it seems so much harder to find a Farmer Maggot than any of the other MEAS R1s!

Re: The 'Top Ten' Rarest MECCG cards

See also this discussion: http://forum.councilofelrond.org/viewtopic.php?f=124&t=2976. I'd also be curious to see the Jabberwock weigh in here, as he convinced me a few months ago that The Ithil-stone is more valuable than Sauron (i.e. not a one-to-one trade). Argument was that you always know you c...
